All our products are Handmade using Vegan Friendly and Cruelty Free Oils
Each Wax Based product contains 100% Soy Wax, all our products are handmade in Saint Johnston, County Donegal , our wicks are made from pure long strand ring spun cotton and paper.
All our packaging is fully recycable and our wax melts are also wrapped in Eco-Friendly glassine bags which are also biodegradable and are made from sustainably sourced paper.
Our Journey
Gary Doherty-McClenaghan- Owner
The Donegal Wax Co was established in 2020 by myself Gary Doherty-McClenaghan, I wanted to create a a product range that would provide a long-lasting fragrance around the home and create a brand that will promote Donegal.
My love of home fragrance and candles over the years brought meto the point of creating The Donegal Wax Co, I began with our Wax Melt range and quickly expanded to boxed candles, Reed Diffusers and our bespoke Gift Sets, all which are handmade in Saint Johnston County Donegal During Halloween and Christmas we also offer a range of seasonal scents
I have been proud to be involved with many organisations over the last few years and great initiatives such as Go Green, Made Local and Buy Donegal which are fantastic platforms for small businesses, we are also a member of Design & Craft Council of Ireland which we are very proud of.
In 2022 we were recognised by Irish Enterprise Awards as their 2022 Winner of Best Home Fragrance & Candle Retail Business.
We also been awarded 2022/2023 winner of New Home Fragrance Business of The Year by The Republic of Ireland Prestige Awards.
